Stoneleigh Community Library is launching a welcoming new social initiative that promises to bring residents together every Thursday morning starting in September. This article will be updated to show the actual date when its been decided.

The weekly coffee mornings, running from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm, offer a perfect opportunity for neighbours to connect over a cup of tea or coffee in the library's comfortable community room. The relaxed atmosphere encourages visitors to engage in various activities or simply enjoy each other's company.

Attendees can challenge themselves with tabletop games, work collaboratively on jigsaw puzzles, or bring along personal craft projects to enjoy alongside fellow enthusiasts. The informal setting also welcomes those who prefer quieter pursuits, with plenty of space to settle down with a good book or browse through magazines.

The initiative reflects the library's commitment to fostering community connections and providing accessible social opportunities for all.

The drop-in format ensures maximum flexibility, with no advance booking required. This free community event welcomes everyone, regardless of age or background, making it an ideal addition to Stoneleigh's social calendar.

The final talk on 17 July, "Artists and Playwrights", is a brand-new presentation exploring Stoneleigh's cultural connections, including William Mulready RA, who taught drawing to Pre-Raphaelite artists, and the playwright John Osborne, who spent his childhood in Stoneleigh during the 1930s.
