Our Available Roles

1. Graphic Artist/Designer (Digital and/or Print)

As our Graphic Artist/Designer, you'll bring our ideas to life through visually appealing designs. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for aesthetics and a passion for visual storytelling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating engaging graphics for our social media platforms
  • Designing eye-catching physical posters and flyers for library events
  • Developing brochures and other promotional materials
  • Collaborating with the wider team to ensure consistent branding across all materials

Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), understanding of design principles, creativity, and attention to detail.

2. Online Writer

Our Online Writer will be one of the voices of Stoneleigh Community Library in the community. This role is ideal for someone who loves to craft compelling narratives and engage with audiences through the written word.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing engaging content for our website and blog
  • Crafting social media posts that capture our library's spirit
  • Creating newsletters to keep our community informed and engaged
  • Developing content for promotional campaigns and special events

Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills, understanding of SEO principles, creativity, and the ability to adapt writing styles for different platforms.

3. Website Editor

As one of our Website Editors, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our digital presence. This position is perfect for someone with technical skills who enjoys creating user-friendly digital experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Regularly updating and maintaining our website content
  • Improving website navigation and user experience
  • Implementing SEO best practices to increase our online visibility
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure the website reflects current library initiatives and events

Skills: Familiarity with content management systems (we will be using WordPress), understanding of web design principles, and attention to detail.

Flexible Volunteering to Fit Your Life
