Our local community library is proudly operated entirely by volunteers and depends on the generous support of donations and merchandise sales to sustain this valued community resource. Please note that merchandise is available for purchase exclusively in person at the library and cannot be ordered online. We are pleased to accept both credit and debit card payments. Thank you for your continued support – it makes all the difference to our community.
Exclusive Stoneleigh-themed products
The Friends of Stoneleigh Library has commissioned a unique pictorial map of Stoneleigh.
Local artist Clair Rossiter has created this delightful graphic that captures the heart and soul of our community in vivid detail. The artwork showcases beloved Stoneleigh landmarks, including Mead Infant School, Auriol Junior School, The Meadow Primary School, and Nonsuch Primary School, alongside cherished local institutions such as St John's Church, Stoneleigh Methodist Church, and our own community library. The Station Pub, Broadway, Briarwood, Altimonde Park Avenue West, and Nonsuch Park all feature prominently, creating a comprehensive celebration of neighbourhood life.
Rather than focusing on geographical precision, Rossiter has chosen an illustrative approach that emphasises the warmth and character of our area. Small figures populate the artwork, depicting residents walking, cycling, and engaging in daily community activities. Cars, trees, and books add charming details that bring the scene to life. The bright, inviting colour palette uses cheerful greens for trees and parks, calming blues for roads and skies, and gentle pastels for buildings, creating an overall impression of home and belonging.
